In regards to this post.
I went to the library yesterday, and pulled my card out of my wallet to hand to the lady. On the card, it still says my birthname so she asked “oh this is your sister card” and I just grunted a yes
+1 passing day
Two weeks ago, last saturday, I went to a mini-mini-conference at Yale; called Generation Equality. It was fabulous, and quite enjoyable. I attended a drag show by the FANTASTIC Bad Romantics, and watched a presentation on ‘Queer Around the World” by Karen Nakamura. I’d love to share a link to that wealth of information, but alas there is none. I plan to post the books she used in it on a later date, though.
I also attended mini classes on Improv (led by Yale’s Just Add Water), and Slam Poetry (led by Yale’s Spoken Word). In between those nice classes, I attended Trans 101. Unfortunately, I learned nothing, I’m already an avid Tran* supporter and avid Transperson.
Sadly, I have googled and googled but nothing came up about GenerationEquality, so I scanned the handouts I got.
All of it is very insightful, enjoy! I will type the booklist later (hopefully!).
(Track zanesblog2k13 for any queer info im posting if you don’t want to follow, I’m still revamping my blog use)
